Isover, one of the leaders in the insulation solution industry, launched a new production line. The cost of the investment has been estimated at 30 million PLN. As Isover’s marketing director Benedykt Korduła states, own production line will make it possible to improve the quality of the service and accessibility of the products and to match the offer and the current needs in the energy sector.

Innovative solutions from Gliwice are to be used in numerous industry facilities in such items as pipelines, containers and turbines. The new line is to be used for production of temperature-resistant mesh mats and effective acoustic and thermal insulation. Thanks to the investment, the level of quality is to rise, especially with regard to thermal insulation parameters, and is to lead to improvement in production process efficiency.

In the upcoming years, the company is expecting a growth in demand for industry insulation, especially in the energy sector – this is linked to the modernisation of the existing energy blocks. As the investor stated, the expected development of the market is projected based on the growing needs of the Polish economy and environment policy of the European Union. The Union is forcing improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of carbon dioxide emission.

The investment brought about creation of one of the most state-of-the-art production lines in the world – it has annual capacity of 30 thousand tons. The project, carried out within the scope of the developing Katowice Special Economic Zone, also implied  the creation of an additional warehouse facility with the area of several thousand square metres.

Isover is taking numerous actions that aim at rising safety standards and environment protection. The Gliwice plant hires over 320 employees. The Isover brand belongs to the Saint-Gobain group, a global supplier of innovative materials for construction industry, present in 64 countries. Thanks to the new endeavour, the company has a chance to become one of the main supplier for the energy or petroleum industry in the Scandinavian and Central European countries.
