The government is to present changes in the Polish New Deal on Monday, according to which health contributions entrepreneurs running a business will pay 4.8% instead of 9% tax.

The changes are to be presented on Monday, after the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers. The draft providing for a “Tax Revolution” from the beginning of next year, is to be approved by the government and on September 15, it will be discussed by the Sejm, according to Rzeczpospolita.

The changes are the result of consultations with the Polish Government. The Ministry of Finance received letters from over 50 organizations and entrepreneurs, that mainly criticized the tax revolution – most comments in the consultations concerned the health premium. SME spokesman Adam Abramowicz believed that the Polish New Deal would be introduced at the expense of Polish entrepreneurs.

In particular, those who pay flat tax. Some organizations and entrepreneurs said that they did not agree to any changes. Some, however, indicated that the tendency is good, but it is necessary to define and slightly slow down the pace of their implementation.

Another change introduced in the new version of the draft is the income tax. The Rzeczpospolita emphasizes that until the last moment, they will decide whether it will be voluntary for everyone and will amount to 0.4% of revenues with numerous discounts and deductions, or 1% for entrepreneurs with revenues above EUR 50 million and it will be obligatory paid if the CIT calculated by the company is lower than 1% of its revenues in Poland.

The Ministry of Finance has not yet officially commented on the idea of income tax. According to Tadeusz Kościński in an interview with Polish Radio 24, They analyze, talk, and see how it turns out and whether they have a consensus.
