In the latest ranking by Bankier.pl, Credit Agricole has emerged as the top bank offering the highest interest-bearing quarterly deposits in Poland. This ranking highlights the most attractive deposit options currently available, but specific conditions must be met to take advantage of these high interest rates.

Credit Agricole’s Welcome Deposit leads the list, offering a remarkable 7% annual interest rate. However, this offer is exclusive to new customers who open a personal account with the bank. Additionally, the deposit amount is restricted to between PLN 1,000 and PLN 50,000. This bank also topped the ranking for the best six-month deposits in a recent review.

Following Credit Agricole, Citi Handlowy secured second place with its Promotional Deposit, which offers a 6.80% annual interest rate. The deposit range for this offer is between PLN 20,000 and PLN 220,000. However, prospective clients must meet several conditions: be new customers, open a Citigold account under the “Save with a Citigold account 6.8% – edition I” offer, accept the offer regulations, and maintain a daily balance of at least PLN 420,000. Additionally, acceptance of the rules includes consent to the bank’s marketing communications.

Volkswagen Bank GmbH Branch in Poland took third place with its Lokata Plus quarterly deposit, which offers a 6.50% annual interest rate. While slightly lower than the top two, the conditions for this offer are straightforward. Customers need only to hold an account with the bank and deposit a minimum of PLN 1,000.

The remaining banks in the top 10 offer annual interest rates ranging from 5.25% to 6.20% on quarterly deposits. Notably, these interest rates are all above the current inflation rate, which stood at 2.6% year-on-year in June, according to the Central Statistical Office. Even after accounting for the 19% Belka tax, deposit holders can expect a net positive return on their investments.

These top deposit offers provide attractive opportunities for Polish savers, especially in a low-inflation environment, ensuring their savings grow despite the tax deductions.
