In 2016, Warsaw office market exceeded 5 million square metres of space and in effect became one of the top most developed office markets in Europe. In this distinguished group, there are the capitals of such European countries as Spain, Denmark, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Investors from around the world have been coming to Warsaw for several years at least. It is a city which has more and more to offer in terms of developing international business relations. The immense potential of the capital of Poland has already been noticed by both big corporations and individual entrepreneurs wanting to implement their plans of running small and medium-sized businesses here.

What is vital to the business attractiveness of the city is of course the exceptional human capital backing in the form of very well educated and entrepreneurial employees. Better and better availability of high-class office space does not only complement the image, but is at the same time a solution to actual needs.

In the last four quarters, the net demand for office space in Warsaw was around 250 thousand square metres, and according to the analyses that are being carried out it should stay on the same level as long as the city maintains its attractiveness for the companies from the finance and business sector.

It should be noted here that in 2016 Warsaw won the name of the fourth most business-friendly city in an fDI ranking, which goal was to highlight the European cities that stand out in terms of the level of direct foreign investment. The awards were presented during the MIPIM investment fair in Cannes. The city of Warsaw, with its fourth position, was listed right behind London, Dublin and Paris.

The city of Warsaw received five awards in the fDI “European cities and regions of the future 2016/2017” prepared by the Financial Times. The capital of our country entered the top ten in the following categories: business friendliness, cost effectiveness, human capital and lifestyle, strategy for attracting foreign investment and Eastern European city of the future.

The fact that the city of Warsaw was noticed and showered with awards is a result of the efforts of both the public sector and the successful activities of the private sector. The former may boast, among other thigs, effective and adequate use of EU funding, infrastructure development, or effective revitalisation efforts. The representatives of the private sectors should not be forgotten in this context, though. The developers and entrepreneurs participating in the investment process in the capital have immense impact on its development as well.
