Two weeks ago, an innovation centre was opened in Warsaw, the Samsung Mobile B2B Innovation Centre. What is interesting, this is the first Samsung innovation centre in Europe of this kind. It was created to enable entrepreneurs to get acquainted with the latest solutions from Samsung. Also, the centre is to be a place of meeting and integration of the representatives of business and Samsung’s R&D centre staff. Company managers hope for increased engagement of the Polish branch of R&D of the corporation in offering mobile business solutions.

Adam Roś, a Samsung representative, wants to make use of the potential arising from the presence of the centre in Poland, seeing it as a chance to build an ecosystem of partners and co-operators more efficiently. The solutions, products and innovations of Samsung Mobile B2B Innovation Centre were selected so that they meet the needs of business clients from the field of small and middle-sized enterprises in basic business fields (security, technology for the financial sector or healthcare solutions).

The opening was attended by, among others, the Deputy Prime Minister, also performing the function of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Jarosław Gowin. In his view, creating the centre is an important element which seals the changes that are happening in Poland. As he claims, over the past year and a half Poland has been consequently implementing a plan to rebuild its economic model. He stressed it is necessary to take action towards having scientific discoveries implemented, and not left at the stage of idea presentation.

Michał Olecki, Deputy President of Warsaw, who was also present at the opening of the innovation centre, expressed his content at the existence of the Samsung R&D centre in Warsaw. He also stressed the importance of information and communication technology which was regarded as one of Warsaw’s six intelligent speciality fields.
