Bank Nowy continues to dominate the monthly deposit rankings with its NOWYdepozyt 1M WYSOKI PERCENT. Boasting an annual interest rate of 7%, this deposit is targeted at new customers who open a deposit account. The maximum deposit limit is set at PLN 10,000, making it an attractive option for savers looking for high returns on short-term investments.

In second place is the Birthday Deposit from Bank Millennium, which offers a 5.50% interest rate per annum. This deposit is a special offer available exclusively to account holders for 30 days following their birthday. To take advantage of this offer, customers must set up the deposit via the bank’s mobile app. The maximum deposit amount is capped at PLN 25,000.

The third spot remains occupied by Lokata Plus, provided by the Volkswagen Bank GmbH Branch in Poland. Offering a 5% annual interest rate, it stands out for not imposing an upper deposit limit. However, it requires customers to hold an account with the bank. Deposits are safeguarded under Germany’s deposit guarantee scheme, providing an added layer of security for savers.

Toyota Bank’s Lokata Plus secures the fourth position, with an annual interest rate of 4.90%. This option, aimed at existing account holders, allows deposits of up to PLN 40,000.

Rounding out the top five is Lokata Facto from BFF Banking Group, featuring an interest rate of 4.75%. This offer permits deposits as high as PLN 12,000,000, appealing to high-net-worth individuals.

Deposits with interest rates below 4% failed to make the top five, underlining the competitive edge of the leading offers in this month’s ranking. Whether for new customers or account holders, these options provide diverse opportunities for maximizing short-term savings.

Implications for Banking and Business

Developments in the Polish banking sector affect businesses operating in the country in several ways. Access to corporate banking services, credit availability, deposit rates, and payment infrastructure are all critical factors for companies — whether established Polish firms or foreign-owned entities entering the market.

For foreign entrepreneurs setting up operations in Poland, choosing the right banking partner is a strategic decision. Major Polish banks including mBank, ING Bank Śląski, Bank Millennium, PKO BP, and Santander Poland offer varying levels of service for international clients, including English-language online banking, multicurrency accounts, and dedicated relationship managers for corporate clients.

The Polish banking market is well-regulated by the KNF (Financial Supervision Authority) and participates in the EU deposit guarantee scheme (BFG — Bank Guarantee Fund), providing deposit protection up to EUR 100,000 per depositor per institution. This regulatory framework provides stability and confidence for businesses maintaining corporate funds in Polish banks.
