2017 Hannover Messe Partner Country is Poland
Hannover Messe is one of, if not the most, important trade fairs in the world. This year’s edition of the show takes place from 24th to 28th of April 2017. This time, the organisers selected Poland as the event’s Partner Country. Among the numerous guests and visitors were members of Poland’s Council of Ministers, with Prime Minister Beata Szydło leading the way.
Hannover’s most famous event is organised annually from 1947. During the 2016 show, it welcomed 5,200 exhibitors and 190,000 visitors, including President of the United States Barack Obama. This year’s line-up includes such areas of interest as Automation, Digital Factory, Research and Technology, Industrial Supply, Compressed Air Technology and Energy. It is the go-to place for anyone interested in technology and innovation.
During 2017 Hannover Messe, Poland receives special attention. It has been selected as the event’s Partner Country. Polish exhibition hall has been opened by Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Beata Szydło. The country wants to present itself as a place of innovation and technological competence. Among numerous Polish exhibitors are National Centre for Nuclear Research, National Centre for Research and Development, several universities and regions. Participants present the audience such ideas and developments as a robot teaching children to code, autonomous trams and hyperloop technology solutions.
Germany is not only Poland’s neighbour, but also its most important trade partner. Polish Prime Minister expressed hope that cooperation between the two European countries will tighten even more. “the impressive stalls, ideas, projects we could see – this is the future of our cooperation” – Szydło said. “We met many young people who face new challenges with commitment and interest” – said Merkel.
Poland wants to show that it has much more to offer than cheap labour. The country wants to push the envelope in the spheres of new technologies, energy solutions and industrialisation. Both Hannover Messe organisers and Polish Prime Minister believe next year the trade fair will host even more participants from Poland.
